Developers behind The Elder Scrolls Online

Fantasy gaming fanatics amped for the release of another title in the Elder Scrolls universe might want to check their email inboxes.

Developers behind The Elder Scrolls Online, the next MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) behemoth to drop from the popular series, have delivered a new round

of beta invites to ring in the new year and bring players back to the land of Tamriel.

What will be interesting to see is Blizzard's World of Warcraft subscription numbers in a month or two to see how much damage The Elder Scrolls Online has done to the MMORPG's subscription numbers for elder scrolls online buy gold. As Matt Firor pointed out, the beta reeled in 5 million beta players, meaning World of Warcraft could see a big drop in numbers as curious gamers take The Elder Scrolls Online for a spin.

"Online game development is all about doing whatever you want, pushing limitations, and it's just easier to do on an open platform," Firor said, adding that, "Someday, it may all change."

For now, it seems as though we'll just have to wait and see what the next gen consoles will be able to pull off to see if you'll be playing The Elder Scrolls Online on them. If the game did come to consoles, would you want to play alongside the PC gamers, or only with people playing on your specific console?
